Looking After Your Blankets
Your Zephyr Blanket is built for comfort and made to last, with a cushioned quilted top and waterproof underside. A little extra care will keep it looking and feeling fresh for all your days off.
How to Care for Your Zephyr Blanket
Spot Clean First: Most marks can be removed with a damp cloth and mild soap. Give it a quick wipe instead of a full wash whenever possible.
Machine Wash (If Needed): For a deeper clean, wash separately on a gentle cold cycle. Use mild detergent and do not bleach.
Drying: Air dry flat in the shade. Do not tumble dry, as heat may damage the quilted padding or waterproof base.
Storage: Make sure your blanket is completely dry before folding and storing. Keep it in a cool, dry place to prevent mould or odours.
No Ironing or Dry Cleaning: Heat and harsh chemicals can weaken the waterproof underside and reduce the blanket’s durability.
A Few Extra Tips
- Shake off sand or dirt before packing away.
- Roll it loosely instead of folding tightly to keep the quilted top fluffy.
- Avoid leaving it damp or exposed to direct sun for long periods.
- Treat it right, and your Zephyr Blanket will stay comfy, cushioned, and ready for every adventure.
A note on Fringes
Our towels are fresh off the loom, so naturally there's going to be the odd horizontal yarn that comes loose. Don't stress that your towel is going to unravel - it's simply a few loose strands. To remove the lose thread, gently lift the thread and cut off with scissors. Please do not pull / snap the thread as this will damage the weave.
A Note on Absorbency
Our towels get better with age, which is why optimal absorbency comes after 3-6 wash-dry cycles. The natural cotton fibres become softer and more absorbent with time as the natural waxes strip from the yarn. So hang tight, optimal absorbency is on the way!
